Mir ist gerade aufgefallen, dass ich mit dem Posten weit hinterherhinke. Das La Conner Quilt Festival fand Anfang Oktober statt, und es ist schon zwei Wochen her, dass wir dorthin gefahren sind. La Conner liegt in Washington State, etwa 135 km südlich von hier. Dort gib es das "La Conner Quilt Museum", das viermal jährlich seine Ausstellungsstücke wechselt, und das jährliche Quilt & Fiber Art Festival.
I just realized I am way behind in posting... the La Conner Quilt Festival took place in early October, and we went down there two weeks ago. La Conner is in Washington State, about 80 miles south of here. They have the La Conner Quilt Museum there which changes exhibits four times a year, and the annual Quilt & Fiber Arts Festival.
Unfortunately photography was not allowed, so all I can post here are a few pictures of La Conner. But if you want to see the winning quilts, and I really, really liked the Best of Show quilt "Jack", check out the festival's website here. And if you ever get to the area, be sure to stop and take a look around, it is well worth the visit.
Leider war photographieren in den Ausstellungen nicht gestattet, also kann ich hier nur ein paar Bilder von La Conner zeigen. Aber wer sich für die Quilts interessiert, die gewonnen haben, und der Best of Show Quilt "Jack" hat mir super gut gefallen, kann sich auf der Festival Website hier umsehen. Und wen es mal in die Gegend verschlägt, sowohl Ort als auch Quiltmuseum sind unbedingt einen Besuch wert.
